I recently became acquainted with a synaesthete. He said it was his rule not to tell people about it right away. Probably a good rule, because as soon as he told me I was overly curious. I started asking question after question, which must be tiresome after the 39458093485th or so time. He told me he can see sounds and that my voice is white-gray. Later we got lost while he was driving. "People with synaesthesia tend to have a bad sense of direction," he explained. I thought about how one of my friends told me anger management problems were partly a manifestation of his ADHD. Weird, are our personality traits just side-effects of our neuroses?
