on vaginal irritation

I no longer have a yeast infection and that is a good thing.  Oh, before everybody on the internet gets grossed out by my candidness: yeast infections are part of the human experience so get over it.

Anyway, I never imagined I'd be twenty-three years old, frantically applying off brand vaginal relief cream during my fifteen minute break at Home Depot.

The places life takes you, man.
 
It was pretty depressing.  Yeast effectively turned my vagina into a breadmaker...THAT WAS ON FIRE.  I realized what was going on down there and headed to the store.  Then I realized that I couldn't find my cell phone.  My body was confused: which terrible situation was I supposed to focus on? The war going on between my legs or my missing iphone??

Eventually I found the phone at the restaurant I'd been to earlier and, thanks to the power of over the counter drugs, my vagina feels better than ever.  As I inserted the suppository I wondered what the hell people used to do about things like yeast infections before drugstores existed.  Tough it out?

Oh man.  Feel free to tell me I'm gross, but I just had to share this.  My therapist says letting it all out is good for me.
