o hay! i got another award, this time from julie (check out her blog, she posts a lot so there is plenty to reeeead!), for being a "super commenter."  i won't post the picture of the award even though pandas are cute.  i don't want to single anybody out for the award, but i want to say "thank u" to all the people who comment on here :3


i will answer the meme questions, though---

1. Why do you blog?

because sometimes i feel like writing a bunch of cryptic drivel.....although, sadly, i haven't been doing much of that lately. I KNOW YOU MISS THE CRYPTIC DRIVEL.

2. What are your 3 best memories?

nothing big. all of my favorite memories are small, movielike moments with good friends or former loves.  smoking outside kwame's apartment, wandering the streets with nick, the first sunset i saw with tracy in LA...blah, blah, blah

3. If you had to change your real name what would you change it to?

never! katrina kay is the best name.

4. What are five things you can’t live without?

- cerave lotion. to be a girl with eczema and no lotion is DEATH

- da internet

- cigarettes

that's about it, really.

5. What are the 4 best books you’ve ever read?

hard to say! but i'll try (in no order):

- sei shonagon's pillow book

- philip k dick stuff, especially a scanner darkly and ubik

- upton sinclair's the jungle / machiavelli's the prince and other history stuff

- a translation of tanizaki's in praise of shadows

- tie between all the other cool books i've read.  i didn't really put much thought into this, i don't have a book top 5 but i really like history stuff and classics. OH! and action novels by matthew reilly, a guilty pleasure.

6. Tell me something unique and interesting about yourself.

i have no idea.

7. What do you love best about yourself?

i, uh, don't but if i had to say, i think my best points are...my sense of humor and KIND HEART, neither of which translate very well onto the internet.

8. What is the best movie ever made?

the best movie ever made or my favorite movie? i will say that i don't think it's citizen kane.

9. If you had a “freaky friday” experience who would you trade places with and why?
any dude, because i want to know what it's like.
