My mother is one of the greatest people I have ever known. She is beautiful (albeit older now), friendly, and likable. She goes out of her way for people. She's a good cook, seamstress, and gardener. She goes to the movies with me when I'm lonely. She's given me everything I've ever needed...and then some. She put my sister and I through college debt free. She came to the United States with $50 split between three people but through hard work and personality she got ahead. She worked her ass off to build her career, then she would come home and be a family woman. I was always last to be picked up from school, but she never missed my birthday. If I had baseball games or something she would never have missed those, either. This sounds like an essay written by a sixth grader but I just love her. I will probably never be a mother myself, but she's the kind of woman I want to emulate.
Oh yeah: my dad is cool too. He works hard and has a keen sense of humor. He's almost seventy years old but yesterday he cleaned up a tree that fell in our yard.
