During our road trip, Nick & I went to a cannon firing re-enactment somewhere in Pennsylvania...or was it New Jersey? Anyway, I was pretty pumped up for this. It was exactly the kind of weird thing I hoped to go to on the trip. The re-enactment was complete with a bunch of guys in period costume. I wonder, were they worn out because they were poorly taken care of, or for authenticity?
Anyway, I was pretty sad that they were only firing blanks, but I guess it does make more sense than firing a cannon ball off into the woods.
