mine =) my first purchase from ruche. i think the colors look nicer in person. i don't usually wear anything cut out in the back like that, but i think it looks cool with a lace tank layered underneath.  MAYBE I'LL WEAR THIS ON MY CRUISE.

i'd wanted a tinytoadstool beret for years and a few months back they went on sale--i couldn't resist. i love the hat. the workmanship is exquisite.

so uh, i got these on asos last month or so and i'm just waiting for the right occasion to wear studded pink leather fingerless gloves.

i really love asos because of the FREEEE SHIPPING.  shipping has been the biggest deterrent to online shopping for me lately.

these smell really leathery. which is weird because they're so thin.

because i just picked up the swatch lady collection double wrap watch in white.

it's strange to say but lately i haven't felt the urge to shop for clothes as keenly as i used to, but after i saw an ad for this in Nylon, i knew it was love.  i've been wanting a double wrap watch for years.  came out to $55 after tax, so not bad at all. the saleswoman at the swatch store was really nice, too. 

i was originally thinking offwhite, but it's darker in person and the white really won me over. some of the other colors (like seafoam) are really fun for people with that sort of style.

it's a really great style of watch for people like me with skinny wrists because there are so many notch holes....and for the same reason it's great for people with bigger wrists.  

be advised that swatch watches tick pretty loudly!

scarves!

OK, no really, these were some of my final final purchases I made a couple of weeks ago that are just coming in.  Christian Lacroix silk toro y lady kerchief via ideeli.  I want to start wearing scarves like this more often!  I have a small collection already, but until now they were all pretty small (in size). I need bigger ones!  ...and someday, someday, some hermès scarves...A GIRL CAN DREAM

This is my first silk scarf, and I must say that I prefer silk to the poly blends my other scarves are made out of.  It just sits more nicely on the neck!



I bought an adorable heart print sweater (with heart button accents!) from rouge retro on etsy and they gave me a couple of free scarves (thank youuu!).  I love this one because the print is great and it's huuuge.

I guess I paired the scarves with outfits pretty randomly. I just wanted to wear them but half my closet was in the laundry because I'm lazy.  Worn here with a newish Marc by Marc Jacobs cardigan I bought with the last of my credit on gilt.  I'll admit that now that I have to start saving money, I'm a bit bummed out I won't be buying anymore Marc Jacobs pieces! 


Since I got some new scarves, I had to brush up on different tying techniques .  i also stumbled upon this awesome guide to wrapping items up.

heart shaped sunglasses from trashy vintage on ebay (i used to shop them all the time). modeled by skinnybones. one of my last purchases before the need to save arose. i wish the heart shape were more apparent, but i've always wanted a pair and i like these.

i got her a nice, thick wool tommy hilfiger sweater (pictured above) purchased on ideeli for a discount. it was really supposed to be for me, but for some reason a medium was too big. it looks better on her anyway. there is something dignified about being in your 50s, no? i think i rather like taking fashion snaps of my mom, i wanna post more!

sunglasses

ny mother in my new chloé myrte sunglasses. they sold out in the color i really wanted (rose) but i still couldn't resist. my mother looks better in them than i do, though. ha-ha.

got them on sale from ideeli and i'm happy with them, but i did order a bcbg top from them that came damaged, and i can't get my money back, only credit. boo: give me my *&*%# money! i sent the return back but there's still no word on if i'm gonna get credit or a replacement blouse.

rayban wayfareres that looked downright tragic on my rotund face. turns out they look good on skinnybones, though, so now they're his. these were on sale at btr, say hey if you want an invite.


ps- life sucks.

I got these pair of UES sneakers a while back on gilt fuse (if you want an invite plz holla). I am not sure if they are "me" and I had a hell of a hard time shopping for a pair of jeans that I felt satisfied would go well with them. I own many a pair of shoes that I basically never wear. I go through phases where I wear the same pair of shoes every day for months.

Online shopping clubs like gilt will be the death of me (financially), really. I keep spending so much money on them.
