I was going to say all these things about how I just finished The God Delusion after picking it up on a whim in Toronto (hardcover edition on sale for $10...now that's a miracle), but then I remembered how much I've always hated that can of worms (the one with resolute theists inside).  I guess it's sufficient to say that I finished the work and wish I'd read it sooner.  It's worth reading solely for the collection of interesting quotations and the bibliography Dawkins collected.

There is a lot of weird, scary stuff going on in the world and part of me doesn't like reading books like this and thinking about it all...the religious creeps who revel in ignorance and prejudice in the name of their god or whatever... and then there are the theist pseudo intellectuals coming up with their own spin on whatever holy book and the ideas therein (the mental equivalent of arguing about the motives of tv characters on internet message boards or some other pointless exercise). WHATEVER...GET ME THE FUCK OUT OF HERE.
